I am here to help you and provide you with all the essentials to get your classroom ready this school year with Walmart. I am SO excited to be teaming up with Walmart to share with you my must-have essentials for all things getting my classroom ready for back to school. While the past few years of teaching has definitely been full of its own unique challenges, I am SO thrilled to have my classroom set up and fully organized. Completely ready for a brand new school year and all thanks to Walmart.
Most people know that teachers spend so much of their own time and money setting up their classroom to be sure everything is close to perfect, and I am so happy to be teaming up with Walmart this year to share with you how to make sure your classroom is teacher-ready for back to school.
While all items were purchased on my own, I am receiving compensation from Walmart for this post. Please know, that my thoughts are genuinely my own and I truly hope this post is helpful for all my fellow teachers out there. Whether this is your first time setting up your classroom or you are a pro – I hope I can help inspire your vision for your classroom this fall. Another school year, another semester, usually these feelings equate with so much joy. This year, I know that teachers everywhere are in need of even more inspiration and love as we face the unknown. I am thankful that my school district made the decision to start the semester off completely digital due to the increased cases of Covid within our community. Therefore, this 3-tiered storage cart has quickly become my new favorite item in my classroom. Versatile, and transportable, this tiered cart from Walmart can easily be moved around my classroom to help accompany me while giving digital instruction. Whether I am working at my desk monitoring discussion, or in front of my smart board interacting in a lecture, this 3-tiered storage cart can be exactly where I am with everything I need. Making this the teacher storage that is a must-have for your classroom needs.
Teaching is hard work. Truthfully, it is something that I don’t really think non-teachers can fully understand until they are fully immersed in all the planning, grading, administrating, and all the other things teachers do in a given day. I would be lost without a teacher planner. This year I am so excited to try out the Happy Planner to make sure I stay organized in this digital world of instruction. Even better, I also got the cutest Happy Planner Teacher stickers to use to help stay organized and positive throughout the entire year no matter all kinds of covid crazy.
Absolutely in love with the Happy Planner Teacher stickers and had so much fun jazzing up my laptop to help maintain a happy and optimistic outlook. Seriously, these sticker kits from Happy Planner are the cutest and such a steal. Thank you Walmart, fulfilling all of the dreams of this teacher’s heart.
Seriously, so thankful to team up with Walmart to help you with all things back to school. This bookshelf used to be a hot mess! Fortunately, I decided to deep clean, removed all the contents, wiped down the shelves, and then repurposed the organization system with a cabinet liner, collapsible storage bins, and mini-crates to keep all my books and resources super organized. This small change released a feeling of peace throughout my classroom and I am absolutely here for it!
My fourth handy tip for an organized and refreshed classroom this fall, absolutely includes a desk organizational system. This 5-piece Pen + Gear desk organizer is modern and stylish and is great for holding all the teacher-necessities. Also, it is less than $10 and super handy. I currently have the organizer on the top shelf of the white storage cart and use it to host all my favorite pens and markers. Your classroom and desk will be made so happy this new school year with these teacher desk-ready essentials.
Okay, one of my favorite things about teaching, besides the students (here is my sweet letter to my students) is most definitely using all the pens. I truly consider myself a pen connoisseur and always and finding out the best pens to equip a teacher desk space. So, currently my new favorite obsession (thank you Walmart) is most definitely the Zebra Pen Mildliner double-ended highlighter set. The colors are in the sweetest pastel hue and they make for great organizing and marking on schedules and papers. My second recent pen obsession is the Sharpie S-Gel pens. They come in both blue and black (I accidentally ordered the blue ink and am very partial to black ink pens for teaching purposes) but these pens are SO good. They don’t smear, write so well, and just make my teacher heart SO happy!

Finally, Papermate is my teaching love language. I love all things Papermate and still always restock my Papermate collection every year and these Ink Joy gel pens are truly life-changing. (Funny story, when I first discovered these pens years ago, I handed the entire pack out to my students in the classroom and had them all try writing with them – and they absolutely agreed – life-changing) And Papermate should most definitely thank me for the free advertising!
Well friends. Here are my 5 must-have tips for getting your classroom ready this fall. I hope you all have the absolute best semester and stay safe. I know times are uncertain, but the one thing that I know about teachers is we are always focused on adapting and finding the best way to reach our students and inspire and encourage despite all the odds. I hope this semester and school year are the absolute best for you! Much love to you all.
