There is incredible power to how we think. The ideas and stream of consciousness that flow through our minds have incredible power when they turn into thoughts. Once thoughts are formed they have the potential to either break us or make us. Our thoughts truly control so much of the way we think about ourselves and the world around us. I strongly believe, in order to move ahead and embrace the New Year, it is essential to take hold of our thoughts. To take hold of our thoughts and refresh and refine them in order to live a better life and become a better version of ourself in the New Year.
Therefore, in order to help you live the life you desire to live in the upcoming year, I am sharing THREE specific things to do within your heart and mind to help you move into a position of a better tomorrow. Three thoughts before the New Year to release so that each and every day can truly be your best day throughout the year to come!
The very first thought before the new year that is essential to let go of is perfectionism. This is essential. For those of us that struggle with perfectionism, it can be a constant battle of trying to take control and release control over the thoughts in our life. However, if we want to reach the version of ourselves that we truly desire to become, we must let go of perfectionism.
Perfectionism holds us back in so many ways. It is binding and holds us back in our journey of growth as humans. To let go of perfectionism, to release it and feel complete freedom in who we are and every single version of ourselves. It is so important to remember, that you are doing an incredible job just as you are. Remove the expectation of perfection from your life. Please, head into the New Year with the complete freedom from perfection and watch as you truly thrive!
The good news is, releasing perfectionism and breaking free from the powerful chain that it holds, doesn’t have to be something that you do on your own. In fact, Pure Hypnosis | Sean Wheeler can help assist the way your thoughts take hold of your life and provide a freedom and breakthrough from the very things that are holding you back! The second thoughts before the New Year you must absolutely rid yourself of to live your best life this next year is pressure. Get rid of the pressure you put on yourself daily to perform at whatever level you desire to perform. Let it all go! We all put way too much pressure on ourselves and walk around so much of our lives feeling like failures because there is more that we should be doing. We turn to society and our social media feeds to let comparison steal all of our joy.
Instead, we must approach this new year with a sense of purpose and let go of all the added pressure we feel on a daily basis. As we release the pressure, we must replace that pressure with valuable affirmations and trust that we are exactly where we are supposed to be and doing a great job at the same time!
The third thoughts before the New Year to take hold of is comparison. Please, if you don’t do anything else from this list, do yourself a big favor and rid yourself of comparison as we move into the new year. Comparison steals us of our joy. Comparison prevents us from the growth we are capable of. Therefore, get rid of comparing yourself to others, to those around you, to those whose lives you watch on a highlight reel of social media. Get rid of the comparison and watch as joy overflows!
I firmly believe there is so much in store for us, yet comparison holds us back. We are incapable of growing and refining as our own incredibly talented individuals because our focus remains on what everyone else has. Instead, turn the focus inwards, and watch as the joy overflows!
As we prepare ourselves for another year of life and living, do yourself a big favor and protect your heart and your headspace. Work through the areas in your life that are messy and that are holding you back. Approach the next year of life in a very intentional way that allows you to grow and thrive! Focus on slowing things down a bit. Finding rest. Prioritize the art of actually taking care of yourself. Pay attention to the way you speak and the words you use to describe yourself. Be intentional and purposeful in how you communicate! Trust that you are capable of incredible and great things!
Work on establishing powerful and impactful thoughts before the New Year. Get rid of things and feelings that are holding you. back. Eliminate the things that are restricting your growth. Find joy in the little moments and embrace the every day! You are going to have an amazing new year and I cannot wait to continue to cheer you on in the process. Believing in you every single day! Wishing you the best day!
