Sometimes you just have to take a look at what is in your closet and TAKE a CHANCE and MAKE a STATEMENT. And I am SO glad that I did that here with this pink sweater worn over a red and white polka dot jumpsuit. Best news is.. this jumpsuit was a $14.99 find from Marshall’s. Take chances with your wardrobe friends, you might not realize just how many outfit combos you actually have in that closet of yours!
Whoever invented the peplum trend… God Bless you! I absolutely LOVE the sweet details of a peplum flare AND am so thankful for its consistent abilities to cover the daily bloat because let me be real… I am falling behind on all of the fitness goals for the year. This sweet peplum top is an Amazon find and you absolutely must add it to your closet. It also comes in several different colors and with prime you can get it well before Valentines’ Day next week, making it an absolutely top priority on this Valentine’s Day Outfit Guide.
Wear white. Forget the Memorial Day to Labor Day rule, rock your inner bride vibes all year long. I was actually thinking about this whole wear white trend yesterday (as I was wearing white jeans to work in February and SO thankful for it) But… anyways, I am all about the light hues right now topped with the neutrals. BTW… Loft is killing it in their earring game right now, so I will be also sharing a few favorites that would make for perfect accessories.
Red pants. Yes. So this is the second pair of red pants that I have ever owned. The first pair… RIP. But actually, it is a really good story. So… it was my third week teaching (six years ago CAN YA BELIEVE THAT!) and my students were taking a test. So i grabbed a table and sat it in the front of the room to create my own little work station (that way I could keep an eye on the kiddos to make sure everyone was being honest and all)… anyways. So, in standing up, my upper thigh met the corner of the table that had a think and sharp metal edge on it. The metal edge scraped the biggest hole on my pants (upper.. upper leg) anyways it was super embarrassing trying to cover up the whole the rest of the day AND even more of a bummer that I lost my favorite pair of pants. Don’t worry they have been replaced and currently are still on the shelf at Old Navy.
I LOVE chunky sweaters AND even better. this one has pearls. This is a classic SHEIN find that you must have in your closet. Dosed with ruffle tiered bell sleeves, this is the perfect sweater to dress up even the most casual of outfits.
Well… there you have it friends. All the essentials to your Valentine’s Day Outfit Guide. And remember, ALWAYS take a good look at what’s in your closet and see how you can restyle some of your favorites to create your new perfect look.
